After more than a decade of stark minimalist interiors there has been a slow but steady return to the pleasures of 'decoration'. Whether blingishly baroque or something less flamboyant, there is a recognition that, deep down, most of us crave the opportunity for self-expression through the use of colour and pattern.
We are part of nature, and our efforts to deny it by turning our back on the things that nature offers us in abundance - colour, texture, pattern, can result in a form of sensory deprivation. So here's to the fruits of nature.
