Glazed porcelain mosaics are cut from larger tiles and then sheeted. They are ofter used as a feature to enhance an area tiled using the larger 'parent' tile, either as a border, a panel, or a feature wall. They are also used for floors, particularly where slipping may be an issue. Because they are produced by cutting up a larger tile, glazed porcelain mosaics possess all the performance characteristics of the original - they are strong, dense, have very low porosity, scratch and stain resistant. Some glazed porcelain mosaics may be used outdoors.
