Over the past 20 years glass mosaics have grown enormously in popularity. No longer seen as suitable for just basilicas and churches, today glass mosaic is employed for floors as well as walls, commercial and domestic situations, swimming pools, in fact anywhere you would use tiles. They come in a wide variety of shapes, sizes and finishes plus an almost unlimited range of colours to allow you to achieve installations that are as subtle or as bold as your imagination. Curved walls, irregular shapes and uneven surfaces can be treated with glass mosaics, often with striking results. And as the mosaics of 6th century Ravenna demonstrate, the colours will last a lifetime or two.
