About Ceramic (Monocottura)
Monocottura tiles are produced with only one 'high temperature' firing, generally with a harder glaze and denser body than wall tiles, with a moisture absorption below 3%. The glaze finish is usually matt or satin. Monocottura (literally - "single fire") can be used on walls, however the larger the tile the wider the grout joint necessary.
Belmondo stocks a variety of monocottura ceramic tiles in 100x100mm and 200x200mm from quality Spanish, Italian and Asian manufacturers.
